Applying Foundation Part 2

Applying Foundation Part 2

via

Foundation application varies according to skin types, while some people have a very smooth flawless skin which doesn’t require a full coverage foundation, some other people have a rough skin I.e (black heads, discoloration, blemishes, etc) which will require some concealing and full coverage application of foundation.

Now, these are the basic steps to foundation application:

*Thoroughly wipe the face to remove any trace of old makeup, oil or sweat.

*If you are using the color for the first time, test the color on your jawline to

ensure it matches your skin shade.

*Once the face is completely wiped, apply a base primer  or an oil mattifier then proceed with applying the shade of foundation you have tested earlier all over the face.

*If you have eye bags you can do some under eye concealing with a lighter shade of foundation or concealer to brighten up your eyes.

*Avoid building up excessive amounts of foundation on your applicator, it’s better for you to take in bits than for you to have excess and have to rub off.

* When applying foundation, DO NOT rub into the skin, instead dab on the skin with a sponge/wedge to even out the application.

* Ensure the hairline, earline and jawline is properly evened out when applying your foundation to avoid leaving a distinguishable line that might look like a mask.

*Set the foundation with powder immediately after application.

Let us all remember that ‘the secret to a flawless makeup is a perfect skin’.
