Cyprus Wedding Venues ✈ Spotlight

via

Today we visit the beautiful island of Cyprus, the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea located south of Turkey. Christened the “Island of Aphrodite” as the Greek goddess of love was supposedly born there, it has long been a favorite for both destination weddings and honeymoons. The length of this relatively small land can be driven in three hours’ time with topography varying from the Troodos Mountains which climb 6,000 feet above sea level and experience heavy snow in winter, to the sub-tropical lowlands with numerous beaches and eight-month-long summers (April to November). We take a look here at three venues in Cyprus perfect for a destination wedding- a villa venue on the east of the island, a five-star hotel in the south and a boutique hotel in the west.

Cyprus

Thalassines Beach Villas

Those seeking an intimate beach ceremony need look no further. Thalassines holds wedding ceremonies right on its private beach, with receptions of up to 40 people held at the Votsalaki Beach Bar on site. This venue is ideally located in a quiet area but is still just 5 kilometers outside the resort town of Ayia Napa- on the eastern edge of the island. The 9 adorable villas hold a mix of 6 or 8 people each and can be rented together to hold your wedding party. Each villa has a terrace with sea views and its own a private pool and garden. Bliss!

Londa Beach Hotel

Located on a beach near the resort town of Limassol on the south coast of the island, the Londa Beach Hotel has amazing sea panoramas. The 68 rooms can be rented out exclusively for wedding parties, and this five star hotel also has its own wedding planner. The restaurant Caprice here caters for receptions with the open air pool deck holding up to 200 guests while the indoor conference room can seat parties of up to 100. There is also an on-site spa.

Thalassa Boutique Hotel

This boutique hotel has 58 rooms which may be rented exclusively for weddings. Its location along the coast just a short drive from Paphos on the west of the island is ideal with several options for both ceremony and reception locations. Sunset or sunrise view rooms are available and rooms are named after figures from Greek mythology. The hotel is adults only though so those who will have children in their wedding party may have to reconsider this one.
