Our New Home. Sunday Ramble & Sneak Peek

Well well well. We got there in the end.

After putting our place in the market a year ago, selling it in February, finding a house and that sale falling through in the summer. We got there!

We decided to keep our flat and rent it out, a calculated risk but we need to move and we need a house for our little family. So we took the plunge and started looking at houses again. We decided to go for something worth a lot less and stumbled upon our now new home.

A 1938 ex authority house next to the school in a small market town/village 5 minutes away from us now. It has a good sized garden and three bedrooms. BUT it has barely been touched over the years. This is what primarily drew me to the house, with retro touches, original wallpaper and doors. Ekkk! The lovely owners even let us keep some of the furniture.

But now the hard work starts, we have around a month to get some major renovations complete. We need to re wire, re glaze and re plaster the house. There is a downstairs bathroom we wanted to relocate too. It’s going to be a long term project but we cannot wait to get started. We picked up the keys on Friday and i took my camera with me…

I’ve spent the past couple of days stripping wallpaper and i am tired already hehe! I cannot wait to make it ours.

For now here is a preview of what next week has in store…
