Good morning lovelies! I hope your weekend was filled with wedding loveliness – perhaps you visited Brides the Show?  We’ll have our own review on the show coming up soon!    My weekend has mainly been spend working on the b.party, with bloved HQ turning in to a hub of activity, and lots of b.team planning going on behind the scenes!  We can’t wait to meet you at Trinity Buoy Wharf for a stylish evening of celebration!

This week’s inspiration board is something I’ve been dreaming up for a while.  We’ve all seen succulents incorporated into weddings over the last few years, their textures and variety of colours make these little spiky little plants a versatile choice for almost any style of wedding!  Despite their gaining popularity in mixed bouquets and arrangements, as favours and details, I’ve yet to see a wedding totally dedicated to this statement plant. Wouldn’t this giant succulent bouquet make an impact as you walk down the aisle?!  Wear a simple, full-skirted dress to carry off this look, perhaps ballerina length for a contemporary edge, and weave smaller plants through your hair to make a coordinating-in-a-non-matchy-matchy-way crown.  From rich purples to teal greens to soft silvery tones and even copper, succulents create their own unique colour palette!  I love this bold tablescape, created by style-idol Martha Stewart, these arrangements work best when displayed in glass containers.   Fill with jet black soil and add a touch of burlap and twine for a relaxed boho look, or white stone chips and minimal details for a cleaner, crisp look.  Use to decorate your cake, adorn your groom, and decorate your venue with contemporary style, and the best bit?  They will look as fresh when you say your goodbyes as they did when you walked down the aisle, and can even be kept after your wedding!  What a beautiful reminder of your day.
