Rose McGowan + Davey Detail’s Wedding: Part 2

Rose McGowan + Davey Detail’s Wedding: Part 2

via

We’re back with lots more from Rose McGowan’s incredible Los Angeles wedding. In case you missed part 1, you can check that out here!

Their reception took place in an intimate garden with bistro lights strung overhead and amaranths + fern garlands decorating the Paramour Mansion’s vintage wrought iron gates. Mismatched tables + chairs from Found Vintage Rentals lent a whimsical vibe to the setting and Holly Flora created romantic, cascading arrangements in vintage brass vessels for the centerpieces. Rose + Davey’s guests dined on yummy Southern comfort food, like chicken + waffles and sweet potato hash. And quite possibly the best part of the whole day? When the lights flicked on during the dance party to reveal an awesome, camouflaged bounce house! Wait until you see it! :)

Such lovely portraits of Rose + Davey captured by Callaway Gable…

A seven piece New Orleans style jazz band played an upbeat song for their recessional and then paraded the guests around the mansion to the pool for cocktails. Such a fun idea!

Love their escort card display — a wall of miniature custom terrariums created by Faerie Nest.

And I’m truly in awe of the gorgeous table design, which feels like a perfect fit for Rose + Davey. One of my favorite details of the table are the moss-filled domes fashioned as table numbers.

Rose + Davey’s wedding cake, made by Fantasy Frostings, replicated Rose’s parent’s wedding cake. So sweet!

And here’s the super rad bounce house!!

Get an awesome coordinator! I really enjoyed designing my wedding. Ground up. So much fun. I'm a director now, as well as an actress, and I knew what I wanted. I had a blast designing my wedding. I frankly don't understand why people find it so stressful. Amber + Nira of Amber Events were awesome producers. Maybe that's why it wasn't stressful! They made it all run seamlessly. And the photographers, Callaway Gable, are so talented. Their talent and uniqueness was perfect with our spirit as a couple. Cannot recommend enough!

My advice would be to have fun and get your hands dirty. Ask for things that are unique to you and your intended. The florists (who were awesome) had never done a Chuppah or bouquet like my design. The string trio had never done a processional song like mine. Creative challenges are a good thing. People will rise to the occasion. Don't be afraid to trust your own taste and to challenge what doesn't feel right. You don't have to do what others do. Leave the typical wedding greatest hits to others. Be imaginative creating your world, because on that day it is YOUR world. A world of magic and love and inclusiveness and beauty and FUN!

Thanks so much Rose for sharing your gorgeous wedding with us today! We wish you and Davey all the best!!
