Hi, Curious Fair, could you firstly tell WWW readers a little bit about you?

 

Curious Fair is a bespoke event design company, specialising in handmade & unique wedding styling.

We are a creative partnership & combine our range of skills to design unique weddings! Natalie loves creating inspiration boards, quirky masks & handmade decorations. Guy is great at making fun & interactive elements such as bespoke photo booths & outdoor games. From handmade invitations to styling the whole day, we make sure the same amount of thought & care goes into everything we do, however big or small! Every decoration, invite & prop is hand crafted or hand picked, ensuring that our service is truly bespoke! ‘From the first sketch to the final stitch, every detail is handmade for you!’

What do you love/dislike about your job?

 

Our favourite thing about our job is helping couples to create their dream weddings. A lot of people who come to us aren’t quite sure of how they would like their big day to look. We offer a free inspirational meeting at the beginning of each styling project to get to know the couple & to come up with ideas that are personal to them!

There isn’t much to dislike about our job as we are doing exactly what we want to do! Our main worry is probably the unpredictable weather when designing weddings in the UK but we have learnt to be inventive and always have a back up!

How did you get into the wedding industry?

 

We met whilst studying theatre design in Covent Garden & realised that we had a lot in common! After being asked to create bespoke decorations for a friend’s big day we realised that we could use our love of crafting & design to create unique weddings!

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

 

We love a new project & enjoy nothing more than creating a wedding that is so personal to that couple that it couldn’t belong to anyone else!

The couples we work with really love hand crafted, bespoke design & want our help to bring their ideal wedding to life. We believe the time leading up to a wedding should be fun! We want to take the pressure off of the couple by creating the decorative elements & styling for them.

What style is your work?

 

We pride ourselves on our creative & unique approach to wedding design. We love creating the perfect atmosphere for a couple’s wedding & we believe that attention to detail can transform another ‘vintage prop’ into an element from their personal love story. We love creating original themed weddings and enjoy a creative challenge!

All of our designs are bespoke and therefore each styling project is unique & individually priced. As a guide we have created 3 packages which can be tailor made to the couples requirements. We are also happy to quote them for a single styling element.

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their suppliers?

 

Research the companies you’re thinking of using and make sure they suit your tastes & needs. We think it’s really important that all creative elements work together well! As part of our service we offer a planning option to source other perfect suppliers for your wedding e.g. florists or marquee hire.

We recently styled the Chosen Wedding Fair at Chelsea Town Hall & have decided to launch a competition to celebrate!

Competition Details:

When Chosen Wedding Fair asked us to style their next fair, we couldn’t hold in our excitement! To celebrate this year’s ‘Love Letter’ theme, we want you to send us a love letter of your own! We want to offer one loved up couple a free bespoke wedding service worth £1400! All we want you to do is send us an email with your dream wedding theme, the date & venue of your future wedding along with your contact details by the 18th November 2013. 1. This competition is to win our ‘That’s So You!’ package worth £1400. This includes an inspiration meeting, research & planning, 8 bespoke decorative elements of your choice & styling on the day. Any materials we use will be at an additional cost to the couple but will be discussed in advance.
