Winter Wedding Inspiration

Winter Wedding Inspiration

I’ve always thought there is something ultra glamorous about a winter wedding. It’s the perfect chance to use luxurious textures like feathers, furs and heavy brocade, and to overuse white as much as possible! Think mulled wine or hot spiced cider as your signature cocktail. Add some sparkly accessories, a pair of elbow length white gloves, cozy bridal shrug, a little metallic decor here and there and voilà! This winter bride had a wealth of pretty winter accessories, a lot of which were DIY including the lovely brooch bouquet below. And if you’re marrying somewhere cold, why not take the chance to have a snow-filled trash the dress session while you’re at it?

How pretty are the spray-painted twigs, and so simple to DIY. And that cake? Gorgeous. Metallics mix so well with a white and gray palette to add that lustrous touch, and the brittle texture of painted twigs and adamantine gems is the perfect counter to a delicate feather shrug or fur wrap.
