1. What dates do they have available? This is the most important thing since most popular wedding venues are booked early. Sometimes they are booked up to two years in advance.
2. How many people will fit into the space? If you have 500 guests you need a space that will handle that many. On the flip side you really do not want to rent a space that is too big, if you have 50 guests a venue for 500 is not feasible.
3. How much is the price, deposit and what is the cancellation fee?
4. Is the deposit refundable, is there a discount for booking off season and can wedding be held on site?
5. How long will I have the space, is there an additional fee for going over and how much is it?
6. What is the decoration policy?
7. Can I use my own wedding caterer?
8. Are there restrictions concerning wedding DJ's and wedding bands? What time does the music have to end?
9. Is there a bar or can you bring your own beer, wine and liquor?
10. How many bathrooms are there? There should be at least 1 per 100 guests.
