Autumn comes and Autumn leaves

Autumn comes and Autumn leaves

Welcome to the weekend Trulovers! Like many out there I am not a fan of the cold and grey weather, dreaming of sun filled days travelling in the South of France and beyond. But there is a beauty about the colours of autumn and this was the inspiration from todays engagement shoot, Autumn comes and Autumn leaves by Style-It Events.

The rich colours and red hues provide a background with a tremendous depth of colour and I can smell the chestnuts roasting over the fire.

Stylist Johanna from Style-It Events shares her inspiration behind the shoot: " What's more romantic than the softness of fall colors? So I waited patiently for autumn to bring about the natural setting that I was looking for.

A beautiful château in southeastern France (Saint Victor la Coste) was to be the host of the engagement session, followed by a simple lover's stroll surrounded by nature to announce the wedding date. I came across that château a few years earlier, at the same season, during a walk with my lover. I remember saying to myself: what a magical place to get married! And it stayed on my mind ever since... The second part of the shooting was about the actual wedding, simple and real, and took place just across the château, in a clearing discovered by chance. I wanted a simple setting, that I imagined merging with the natural environment. Giving the impression that while taking a walk in the woods, that unique spot filled with love and joy, was discovered at the bend of a path. Basket under the arm, holding hands, picking up nuts and chestnuts just for the pleasure of hearing them crackle over the fire, placing pretty wood logs, feeling the warmth and get carried away by the beauty of the flames, whilst cuddled up to one another. If I had to get married one day, I would love it to be in a similar place, surrounded by loved ones all gathered around a wood fire, wrapped up in warm blankets knitted by great grandma a long time ago... And what's better than a tea bar to complete all that? Berries, ferns, pine cones picked up randomly on the actual day. The weather sure was against us. It was rainy, the wind gusts were freezing, there was humidity...but it could have been worse. Some unforeseen events also came up but it wouldn't have been as fun, would it? Time was also a real challenge: 24 hours was all we had. The arrival and departure of our two love birds determined our planning so we had to adjust. Stress, of course, but it's nothing when you get to share such an adventure; you just have to realize it. Only the present moment is valued particularly when there's alchemy. Add to all that a happy gang of talented partners with human values, authentic, ready to share without second thoughts: all values that I truly cherish. They were all professionals that I respect and admire ant that trusted me with this project. A couple that loves life as much as they love each other: I couldn't have dreamt better for my first inspiration shoot. Thanks to all of you. I am very happy of the opportunity to share this beautiful team work right here.

I love drinking a tasty hot tea during the fall season (I bet I'm not the only one) to heat up my hands while never saying no to a slice of grandma's old fashioned cake to warm the heart... Who wouldn't love it? "

I really hope you'll like it as much as I enjoyed preparing it and that this shoot will inspire future weds dreaming of a simple intimate wedding. "

This makes me want to head to a log cabin, with the snow thawing and explore the woods.
