Lee and Rob's Wildflower Meadow Engagement Shoot

Lee and Rob's Wildflower Meadow Engagement Shoot

There is nothing like a summer engagement shoot to wash away the January blues!

Rob proposed in December 2012 after initially meeting Lee 10 years prior in an Essex pub. In spite of the time frame proceeding the proposal, Rob managed to keep it a complete surprise right until the very last moment!

Here's their story told by Louise of Pavone Photography

Rob had taken Lee out for the evening on the premise that they were our for his "leaving drinks". He'd roped in a friend to take their things to a hotel in London and when he took Lee to see their hotel room there was a bottle of champagne waiting for them. Tied around the neck of the bottle was a beautiful engagement ring. Lee turned around to see Rob on one knee. She said yes!

Lee's vision for their wedding day was "country garden" with a meadow, lots of flowers, beautiful floral scents and the feeling of bringing the outdoors indoors. Decor was to be primarily floral based, with plants to compliment the colour scheme and bark, twigs and logs for that extra wow factor. They decided on a gorgeous barn with beautiful grounds which meant that the majority of the day could be spend out doors in the gardens. They chose TewinBury Farm in Hertfordshire. Keeping guests entertained was super important and the couple had planned giant garden games, live music and morris dancers as an afternoon treat! Everything tied in perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere they were going for. Cake was also something that was really important to the groom as he was a massive cake lover! As such they went for a huge naked cake with 4 different flavours, to be decorated with fresh flowers and fruits in order to tie in nicely with the rest of their plans. They began planning right away and set the date for 8 months time, which was August 2013.

They eventually found Pavone Photography. Initially we'd all decided on a beach location for the engagement shoot, but when we arrived it was absolutely packed! It was the first hot weekend date we'd had of the year and there were people everywhere. When we arrived we were greeted by a drunk guy falling off of his bicycle, which pretty much summed up what was going on in Southend that day! Instead, we went on an adventure and after driving just a few minutes up the road we came across a lovely looking pull in. We were planning to take some photos there and move on again, but soon after arriving we spotted a gap in the bushes. For some reason, the guys (Sam, photographer and Rob, groom) seemed intrigued by it. So we all went wading through the bushes for what felt like forever only to find the most beautiful meadow on the otherside. It was PERFECT and tied in so well with the wedding plans. The engagement shoot was scheduled to coincide with sunset, so there were the most amazing soft golden colours- which gave such a boho look.

"Booking Louise and Sam from Pavone Photography was simply the best decision we made. The photos are stunning, with everything we wanted taken into account and the colours are just amazing, so many people have commented on them. They were all just so lovely and friendly the whole way through the process and worked their socks off too bless them!"

Big shout out to Louise and Sam for sharing this gorgeous engagement shoot with us. Those silhouette shots at the end are beautiful.

Big Love
