Annie & Paul's Countryside Chic Celebration

Written by: louise

Hello lovers! Are you ready for a picture-perfect wedding?! You might recognise the lovely Annie & Paul from their gorgeous engagement shoot that I shared last year. Their pretty pastel wedding in Yorkshire is the perfect combination of rustic style and countryside chic, captured wonderfully by Fine Art photographer Holly of Belle & Beau Photography. Annie stayed true to her style with the most beautiful Ian Stuart dress, in a soft honey-coloured gown teamed with a pair of stunning Valentino bow heels and complimented by maids in super sophisticated neutral dresses. Their celebrations were held in a marquee set in rose-filled gardens, providing the perfect inspiration for their summery bouquets and floral arrangements while rustic touches added an informal vibe to their elegant celebrations.

You can read more of their story here, before we hear from Annie about their day ~

I loved that my dress wasn't ivory - it was so different! The detailing was amazing and it sparkled in the light, I felt so beautiful and graceful in it, which is not particularly like me
When I tried it on it just said 'bride' to me and I knew it was the one, never looked back or questioned it! My amazing hair comb was a bespoke design made by my sister-in-law who runs Victoria Walker Boutique. She works with the style of your dress and incorporates the colours and textures to compliment. She also made my bespoke necklace and smaller versions of my hair comb for the bridesmaids. They wore dresses from Harvey Nichols by BCBG Max Azria and shoes from Dune. My shoes were a treat from my husband Paul. I had been looking for shoes like these for ages and found these amazing
After the ceremony we celebrated with our guests at The Star Inn in North Yorkshire. We hired a marquee and furniture, and decorated the inside with lovely chinese lanterns and I made chair sashes myself from hessian. The stationery had little hessian roses which added to the rustic countryside feel. Along with our florist, we decided to choose flowers that complimented the venue - country style, delicate and pastel colours. We included hydrangeas, roses, peonies, gypsophilia and bouvardia. We had a single-tier cake made by Lucy Marsden, and a friend made the cupcakes that sat underneath. We did mini-macaroons as favours, wrapped in clear cellophane and tied with pink ribbon. photographer Our photographer was Holly from Belle and Beau Photography, she made us SO relaxed and got so many wonderful shots of the day! She really captured the soft and natural feel of the day.Holly and her husband Phil (who assists her) spent time with us before the day and really understood what we wanted and that our styles matched for the day. I would really recommend them to any bride to be! first dance Our first dance was to Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits. It was one of my Dad's favourite songs so it meant a lot to us to include it in our day. advice It was a truly perfect day and I wouldn't have changed a thing! advice to brides, just remember why you're getting married, don't get upset over the little things that may go wrong because on the day you won't notice or care! Enjoy it and cherish it as it passes so quickly!! Valentino shoes on the internet. Not being able to afford them at the time I planned to wait and see, however on Valentine's Day Paul surprised me and bought them as a present!
