From Alexander James: " The last thing I ever want to do is grow up or old. Two very different things yet I'm struggling with both. I enjoy tailored clothes but rarely match them with an appropriate haircut, often sporting a disheveled raggy'ness more associated with a Springer Spaniel. Pablo Picasso one said 'Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist when we grow up.' You can tell a lot about me by looking at my work. My palette is light with bold contrast, as if drawn by a heavy handed child with a fist grip of his new felt tip set that won't last the week. Composition is never intrusive, more inquisitive as I merely watch from afar daring not to interfere but rather allow the scene to play the first move. And when it does I'm in.'Turning bills into paper planes' is me playing at photography as much as it is a strong juxtaposition of youth in an adult world, or vice versa. Either way it's the beginning of something new, another adventure, beyond the end of the garden is where I'm starting. Where I'm going, well that's another story."
