10 Garden Wedding Decor Ideas in Moss

Garden weddings full of woodsy details are so popular at the moment. Especially when they involve moss. And the practical gal in me is absolutely loving the moss. What a terrifically colorful (and thrifty) way to decorate your reception tables! And even more surprising is how well these mossy details work even in more modern events. For example, if you want a minimalist (but warm) aesthetic, use lots of white, candlelight, and moss (above, right). It's clean and updated, free of the more "cluttered" centerpieces that usually accompany a rustic wedding. You can also see how well these fresh-out-of-the-garden arrangements go with modern elements like black and white stripes or metallics (below). Seriously chic.

And although I love this cake table (above, right) decorated with layers of moss and succulents, just make sure to keep the forest away from the actual cake. Nothing ruins buttercream like a little fuzzy dirt. For an equally impactful statement, decorate the welcome table like this couple did below. Go nuts with mossy cover and incorporate rocks, branches, and candles. Super stunning!

Maybe you want to go moss, but don't want your guests to think they are in "Pixie Hollow." That's cool. Just keep it to a minimum, using it as a faux-table runner (below) with plenty of decor elements on top.

You can also use moss with the simplest of details, such as a ring pillow alternative ( I love this nest with a bow) or as the monogram on your guest book table (below).

If you want to let your guests in on your excitement for the woodsy fabulousness in store? Set the mood with one very memorable save-the-date (below). With an invite this rustic and fun, they will know a formal ballroom is most definitely not in their future!
