Michelle and Eric's Vintage Downtown Wedding

Michelle and Eric's Vintage Downtown Wedding

Every so often, a local wedding comes to us that embodies everything romantic, personal and pure that a life-long promise should be. You can just tell that some people were absolutely meant to be with each other. With that being said, say hello to Michelle and Eric and their gorgeous vintage downtown Austin wedding. The entire affair is a lesson in handmade elegance, antiquated/folk details and the love and support from a wonderful family and the closest of friends. It's weddings like these that inspire couples to make their celebration a reflection of true personality and genuine commitment to each other.

I could stare at these dreamy images from Kat Bevel all day long. Love, love, love.

From the bride... Burlap, mason jars, sand, candles, vintage lace, wood, succulents, potted plants, picture frames, and combined talents from family & friends, all came together to make our wedding day more beautiful then we could ever have imagined. My wonderful husband built the 10ft cross with wood he found at a vintage shop in North Austin to put as the backdrop of our wedding ceremony. We now have it on our balcony at home. Vuka, a vintage warehouse venue, is located in downtown Austin, Texas near the famous South Congress Avenue which set the stage for our wedding theme as we used the furniture and decorations that were inside as well as the fire pit outside for our guests to make smores! We had a marshmallows hanging from a tree outside which made it give a softer look. My husband liked to tell our friends that our wedding theme was Mumford & Sons. We combined boots, our home Austin, and our favorite treats to contribute to our special day. Our wonderful community of family & friends was what made it such a joyous celebration. Even one of my best friends teaching overseas was able to Skype in as one of my bridesmaids. She was able to see our entire wedding ceremony on a friend's phone and you can see in a few of the pictures me talking with her :). My husband's cake was a tool box cake and no one believed it was a real cake. It was very impressive from Jennifer Gonzalez at the Frosted House. I hope you enjoy looking at our our pictures! A huge thank you to all of our vendors (listed below) that made it all possible!
