Bride By the Beach.. Ibiza wedding - The dress and shoes (Where has the time gone?)

Hello lovely ladies!

I cannot believe I'm down to two and half months until the big day. OMG. I got engaged 16 months ago and I have no idea where that time has gone. All I know is that I've still got a to do list that seems to be never ending and 83 days until we say I do. That's plenty of time right? *Breathes deeply*

Anyhow, thought I'd give you all a little update of how the planning is going on so far with our little DIY beach wedding. Two weeks ago, the Mother in Law To Be and I hit up the big ol' smoke to buy the material for my wedding dress. A whole lot of fun but a little daunting because you actually hand over the moolah there and then. It may seem a lot to pay out for metres of material but I'm sure it works out financially better in the long run. Unless you plan on having a dress made of French lace. Well then you're screwed. £180 per metre?! Crazy prices. You can read more of my experience here if this is something you're thinking of undertaking. And as I can't really talk about the dress as The Boy might be reading, I've added some pics from the new collection from one of my favourite wedding dress designers, Lihi Hod. They are stunning.

I can however, talk about shoes. I have bought mine, and the bridesmaids, and The Boy has bought his. Tick Tick and Tick. I bought mine and the Bridesmaids from the States as it was cheaper to buy them, pay the delivery and import tax than buy them here in the UK. Madness. Amazon Prime is a godsend. Want to see?

I love heels and when I saw these, I thought they fit the vibe perfectly. - beachy boho and they can be my something Blue. As we're not getting married on the actual sand, I can wear these in the ceremony and then we have our pics on the beach, barefoot I go.

Found these pretty shoes from a US company called DSW for my bridesmaids. I had an idea of what I wanted them to wear on their feet but couldn't find anything this side of the pond. I used a company called MyUS which gives you an American address to allow to you buy international goods and they box it up and post it out to you. Sweet! Arrive 10 days later and look so lovely, I'm tempted to buy me a pair. Tickety tick.

The Boy then managed to find these badboys in Topman on Oxford Street which was the style he was after.

As we are also having a Brighton knees up when we get back from Ibiza, we needed to get the invites to this out pretty sharpish as time is not on our side. So spent all of last weekend folding, tying, stamping and licking envelopes. Here's a little sneak peak.

The next pressing items on the to do list are write our vows and start putting together our playlists. Will start scrolling through all of Festival Brides Independent Love Song recommendations to help get in the mood.

Until next time lovelies! Xxx
