Vintage Mediterranean Wedding

Vintage Mediterranean Wedding

When this adorable Irish couple decided the lush green hills of their hometown were not what they were looking for on their special day, they chose instead, to take the party down south. Perched on the southern coast of Athens, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Island Art and Taste is a spectacular venue and exactly what Lesley and Philip were looking for. And with very little effort, they were able to pull off a gorgeous and glamorous event.

Collaborating with White Ribbon Boutique Events, Lesley was able to pull together her dream of a vintage Mediterranean wedding. If you are craving more details from Philip and Lesley's amazing wedding be sure to check out the full gallery here. All of the fabulous images were beautifully captured by George Pahountis.

From White Ribbon Boutique Events:
The destination wedding of Lesley and Philip took place in the south coast of Athens. This beautiful Irish couple exchanged vows in front of the sea with their closest family and friends, all of whom had traveled from far away to celebrate with them.

We started planning the decor with the bride more than a year in advance. She wanted a very light and airy feel with a bit of vintage theme. We used Greece's most recognizable tree (the olive tree) through out the day. This gave the venue a rustic touch while combining blush and pink roses for a softer and more romantic look. We thank the couple from the bottom of our hearts for making us feel like their family and for entrusting us with the precious beginning of their life together.

From The Bride:
My advice for future brides is to enjoy every aspect of the wedding planning, because it is over far too quickly! I would recommend celebrating even the smallest things and documenting everything in your wedding planner because they are memories that you will have forever. I would also recommend breaking in your wedding shoes because my feet were sore so early in the day!

We love this easy escort card table idea that you can easily do. We broke down the steps for you and made a supply list so you can make your own. You could definitely put your own spin on this to match any style of wedding.

Directions
1. Cut a piece of fabric the size of the mat of your frame and place in frame

1. Use a business card template like this one for illustrator or this one for word and type out guests names and table numbers. Print out half of guests name on your peach paper and half on your pink paper.

2. Cut out the cards of the guests and use your glue stick to place the cards on the fabric. We love how they mixed up the peach and pink. Be sure to use an adhesive like the glue stick so you can move the cards around easily. Place the glass frame over it to seal everything up, or leave out as is.
