Winter Anniversary Shoot

Written by: louise

Winter is such a forgotten season when it comes to stylish shoots! Oh yes, I know a Spring or Summer engagement shoot is much more predictable weather-wise, blue skies and sunshine make the prettiest backdrops. But spare a thought for a winter shoot, you might be surprised by the results - think cosy boots and coats, snuggling with your beau to keep warm, and perhaps a sprinkling of snow. Romantic, right?

Sam & Nick tied the knot in October 2010 and since then have decided to celebrate each year of their marriage with a couple shoot in a different season. This year they chose to embrace their love of winter and some styling inspired by one of their favourite TV shows - Duck Dynasty. The woodland setting, rustic details and gorgeous powder blue & copper palette makes for the perfect winter-y inspiration captured beautifully by Sarah Sharpe.

Sam shares their story ~

We got married in the Autumn of 2010, I love the idea of having photos taken each year together! Even though we were married in October, I wanted to incorporate different seasons into the mix each year; and we had to have Sarah photograph us, she's amazing! We spend a lot of evenings together watching episodes of Ducky Dynasty, and really fell in love with the show and their family values. I have always had a weakness for rustic woods-y surroundings and wanted to incorporate that into the shoot. Getting to have a sleep over with your best friend, every single night of the week xo Inspired by Winter? Find more here
