Sarah and Devin's wedding was rustic, simplistic, and DIY inspired. Everything was unique, yet simple and of course, beautiful. Bold colors and beautiful blooms from Going Lovely splendidly complimented the natural loveliness of the venue, Stones & Flowers Retreat. From the Bride:
We actually met on Match!!! I was living in Monterey, Devin in Morgan Hill. He was a gentlemen and came to me for our first date. We had great conversation and laughs over drinks and amazing food. From that weekend on, we hung out every weekend following. I literally Googled outdoor wedding venues that had barns, and Stones and Flowers retreat popped up. I instantly fell in love and knew it would be perfect. We both like the outdoors, hiking and camping, so it seemed only fitting to get married in the woods. It was our first and last venue we visited. I just knew!

It's difficult to note just one aspect of the wedding as the day couldn't have been more perfect, but overall, my favorite part of the wedding was the amazing summer weather, and spending time with loved ones, good food, and drinks in such a beautiful setting. My mom passed a year earlier, so I wanted to make sure to incorporate her in as many ways as I could. We had a locket with a picture of her on her wedding day tied to my bouquet, which I thought was special. We had her picture placed where she should would have been sitting at my wedding, accompanied by a beautiful bouquet. Instead of wedding favors, we had a card on each place setting letting everyone know that we had chosen to donate to the American Cancer Society in honor of my mom. In regards to the food, we had our absolute favorite, Mexican!!! It was so amazing. Chips and salsa, enchiladas, carnitas, beans...it was exactly what we'd eat on a typical night out, which is what we wanted. We wanted to veer away from the boring "steak and chicken" that we had both experienced at weddings.
