Shabby Chic Plaza Wedding

Shabby Chic Plaza Wedding

This darling couple had a beautiful wedding day that was simplicity and chic at its finest. Nothing was over done which allowed any empty space to be filled with love, quite literally a giant love marquis sign that you must see! Champagne and blush were the colors of the day and they complimented the lovely plaza venue perfectly.

One of my favorite things we did was the mismatched bridesmaid's dresses. All 6 girls picked their own dresses but I wanted my two maids of honor to stand out. They wore long, blush, and nude Adrianna Papell dresses. The groomsmen also picked their own suits and then varied it by wearing vests or suspenders. We looked at a couple of venues, but nothing felt right until one of my bridesmaid's recommended Serra Plaza. It was so simple and perfect. We really loved the cobblestone, market lights, chandeliers, and all of the vintage furniture that was provided by the venue. The coordinator, Mary Lallande, is amazing and I absolutely love her vision. Our ceremony was just perfect. Although we debated over having a first look, we decided to go ahead so we would be sure to have pictures with good lighting. We wrote our own vows expressing our love for each other and our mutual commitment to living out our faith together. After the ceremony, I put on a dainty flower crown made. If I could wear a flower crown everyday I would. I also really wanted to have a "wow" moment. Over Christmas, our church hung giant marquee letters, spelling LOVE, on the stage. I remember turning to Travis and saying we need those. Our church graciously allowed us to borrow the marquee letters and our guests loved taking pictures in front of them! We loved all of our vendors. We were so pleased that they were able to make our vision come to life. Sweet and Saucy Shop did an amazing job with a pumpkin spice/vanilla wedding cake and various mini desserts. (Side note from Travis: If you are going dessert tasting don't eat the entire sample because they bring out like 50 desserts and around cupcake number 15 you're totally over it and considering Jello.) Our guests ravaged the dessert table. We gave everyone little Chinese food take out boxes as their wedding favors so they could take home as many desserts as they wanted. It was a huge hit! The salted caramel tarts and vanilla macaroons were gone before you could blink.
