Morning folks.. How are we all this fine morning?? Maybe a little jaded after a certain epic festival? If you were at Glastonbury then I can only imagine the other planet you maybe on today!!

Charlie and Hector (We heart pictures) are a super cool photography duo who shoot weddings in the UK and overseas. Once you land on their page you might just fall in love with them and their storytelling style....

We just love Susie and Henry and their welly mad wedding.. Their wedding took place on their parents farm and the day was full of games, laughs and happy sentiments all caught on camera by We heart pictures. Over to Susie and Henry to tell us some more....

Henry proposed to me at my parents house in the middle of last summer, on the family farm where i'd grown up. We decided there and then that we would celebrate our wedding at my family home in north Dorset. It was probably the easiest decision of the entire process!! We enlisted the help of a local marquee company who helped us decide on the ideal spot. The ceremony was held at St Leonards Church, Semley. This was also a very easy decision as it's our local village church and my grandparents were married there 60 years

The ceremony was truly the most memorable and special part of our day. Once we arrived and were standing outside the church ready to walk down the ailse, a smile took over and from then on, we both couldn't stop grinning from then on! I walked down the ailse to Life in Technicolour by Coldplay. It is a little unusual for a church ceremony was I was determined to make an entrance (!) and the song is really uplifting and emotive. A particularly special moment was during the second reading. My close friend Alanda read A Blessing For A Marriage, by James Dillet Freeman. It was a few minutes long and we loved listening to the beautiful words and taking a moment to look around the church at all our wonderful friends and family. It was really important to us that our ceremony wasn't rushed and that was really personal. We asked our best friends Nick, Sarah and Kevin (who are all amazingly talented) to perform. Together they sang an acoustic version of Beneath Your Beautiful by Emile Sande and Jason Mraz, I Won't Give Up, during the signing of the registers. It was so magical!! We also selected hymns that we knew most people would know well ... it's just so great when a church is filled with sound so we wanted participation to be high!

The theme all started with the welly. I grew up in wellies on the farm so it seemed only right that they should feature somewhere in our day. From the outset, I loved the idea of filling a small welly with flowers as a centrepiece for our tables and it all went from there. We soon decided that we wanted our day to be relaxed and happy, just like the local annual village fete. We spent months collecting childrens wellies from charity shops and then spray painted them to match our colour scheme.

I wanted my dress to match the informal style of our day. Something I could dance in, wear my wellies with and that wouldn't look too ridiculous in the middle of a potentially muddy field! I had never considered a short dress but when I tried on Daphne by Lyn Ashworth it was love at first sight! It was such a fun and playful dress but is still intricate and beautiful as every wedding dress should be! The wonderful ladies at The Dress in Teddington were amazing and I looked forward to every visit.

We hired a local jazz band to set the tone for the afternoon (after we saw them play at the aforementioned village fete!), borrowed a coconut shy, skittles, had a welly wanging contest and served afternoon tea style canapés and local Somerset Cider Brandy Pims. It was a truly family affair with our mums making jam for favours as well as metres and metres of bunting and tables runners from gingham fabric. Our dads made a Splat the Rat, brought in lots of hay bales and some local ale and cider to set the tone.

From the day of the engagement my Grandma was asking the question 'who will make the cake?'. To be honest, it wasn't really top of my list to arrange but before we had time to think about it, my grandma and mum had volunteered for the job! My mum made the cakes (2 fruit cakes and 2 sponge cakes) and my 83 year old grandma decorated the whole thing. Together they spent months having trial runs, practicing with fondant icing and royal icing, deciding which would work best! They did an absolutely incredible job and the decoration was perfectly in keeping with our theme ... bunting, daisies and wellies. I know I'm biased, but I've never seen a better wedding cake!

We also wanted to the food to be in keeping with our village fete theme. Caroline Ghent caterers suggested an afternoon tea style canapé menu including mini scones, mini macaroons, cucumber sandwiches and some other savoury treats. We had toyed with the idea of a buffet or BBQ wedding breakfast but Henry was really keen that we have a sit down, served meal. We wanted a good quality, home-style food and it didn't take long to settle on the idea of pie and mash. Caroline was really helpful and created a summer chicken and ham hock pie served with cider sauce which was absolutely perfect for our west-country wedding. She even put a pastry heart on the top of each pie which was amazing! For pudding we had simple favourites; brownies with cream and eton mess, both of which went down really well with our guests (and most importantly ... with us!).

Having gone through the wedding whirlwind and come out the other side, I want to do it all over again!! It was the most incredible experience from start to finish. My first tip for the day would be to make sure you eat breakfast!! I was too nervous and excited to eat and I really regretted it later in the day. Get a bridesmaid to be responsible for your nutrition for the day!! Make sure you put plenty of emphasis on the ceremony; it's what it's all about!!! It's an amazing feeling to look around the church or room and see all the people you love there. I particularly loved the time we spent outside the church after the ceremony... for me (unlike Henry who had seen everyone arrive) it was the first time that I saw all the guests we invited and I was loving every second of greeting everyone with my new husband!If you decide to make 'do it yourself' like we did to a certain extent (we made bunting, table runners, welly centrepieces, invitations, table plan, games, favours .. or rather our family helped us make them!), make sure you start early. It wasn't stressful for us as we started a year in advance so as long as you're organised, you can do anything!Finally, enjoy your party! It's an unique experience to look around a dance floor and to know every single person on it! Equally, make sure you take some time during the party to sneak off with your new husband to contemplate the day.

We spent a lot of time looking for a photographer. We'd found a style that we really liked from magazines and blogs and weren't keen on anything too 'traditional'. Our day was going to be informal, relaxed and fun, and we wanted our photos to capture that and to be fun! We found Hector and Charlie at We Heart Pictures online after months of trawling the internet and wedding blogs. They seemed excited about our day and even came down to Dorset a few months before to get a feel for the venue and to take some pics of us so we'd get used to having our pictures taken. It was a lot of fun! On the day, Hector was brilliant and as you can see, he captured some amazing moments. Thank you Hector!
