Fourth of July Wedding Ideas

We love a Fourth of July wedding, but we also know how tricky the decor and details can be. You want it to represent the holiday, but you also don't want it looking like the clearance bin at Michael's on July 5th. We get it. Here are some ways to pay Americana a bit of homage while still keeping your wedding details fresh and modern.

Give the classics a twist. Coca-Cola bottles are pretty cool on their own, but pre-mixed Jack and Cokes in bottles are pure wedding guest bliss (below).

Use holiday prints to decorate the bare walls behind your tables. Just give a little nod to the Fourth here and there. Even if you want to emphasize the theme, a little bit goes a long way. This patriotic print below would be fabulous propped up on the guest book table with gold and red streamers scattered on the table.

Red, white, and blue? Change up the usual red, white, and blue by using aqua instead of blue or orange instead of red. Especially if you want to update a Fourth of July theme, avoid being too literal. This fireworks-inspired invitation (below) is modern and unique.

When in doubt, stars should sparkle. Nothing says Fourth of July more than tons of sparkly stars. Use glittery cupcake toppers or little touches of gold star pins in your hair.

Incorporate metallics for a completely new look. Use navy and gold or white and silver for a completely unexpected color palette for your Fourth of July wedding. It's sophisticated and fresh while still giving a nod to the holiday's firecracker traditions.

Another advantage to a white and silver palette? It feels cool and light-and on a humid July day, that can be something your wedding guests will truly savor.
