Red White and Blue Wedding Inspiration | Fly Away Bride

Today we're celebrating a subtle Fourth of July palette: call it cherry, cream and powder blue. Independence Day may be all about bold celebration, but this palette rejoices without shouting. Red can be such a strong shade that a touch here and there will suffice, and we've chosen a deep cherry shade that won't overwhelm while pairing it with a dusky blue. As you might know, we're big fans of basing your color scheme around the location you choose for your destination wedding, and the inspiration for this board was the lakeside setting of the New Zealand bridal shoot we featured last week: we designed the stationery below to mimic the lovely blue-gray tones of the lake. As a starting point for your wedding palette, an almost neutral hue such as this can easily complement a strong shade like cherry red. Keep everything else to warm neutral tones, for your florals rely on the greenery as your third color, and voilà!
