Understated Elegance: The Fashion

This month's Style Guide is all about the understated; last week we showed off our simple, stylish and sophisticated white & grey table setting, perfect for setting a grown-yet romantic scene. But being this grown up doesn't mean you can't have some fun! This week we're sharing our ideas for styling yourself and your bridesmaids with our Understated Elegant theme in mind... Our b.team experts from Luella's Boudoir and Maids to Measure really worked their magic on this look. I know you're going to love it!

Our stunning bride, Klara, wears Sally Eagle's 'Camille'. This gorgeous gown from the New Zealand designer is a quintessential garden wedding dress, with soft & light all-over chantilly lace making it pretty yet easy to move in. We adore the scalloped lace hem which gives it a relaxed vibe, while the strapless bodice gives a beautiful shape and fit. Underneath, she wore the contemporary classic 'Matilda' peeptoes by Rachel Simpson, inspired by the romance of the ballroom with an elegant silver teardrop detail.

The look was completed with a stunning full-length Italian tulle veil, also edged with a scalloped lace edge for a relaxed yet tied-together look. We added the simple 'Roberta' by Jannie Baltzer, hair comb, with delicate leaves made of French lace adorned with sequins, crystals and beads for a perfect garden-inspired accent.

We got to have some fun styling our bridesmaids looks with Maids to Measure - first of all using their brand new 'Multi-Maid' wrap-style dress. This design is simply inspired! The classic strapless design gives your brides comfort and security, whilst the chiffon, lace or satin tie allows them to each show off their individual creativity & style. We love the simple cross-over back, strapless, asymmetrical and strapless styles!

We also love this flirty polka dot design, ' Lisette '. In long or short, with or without sleeves this print is perfect for adding some texture and pattern into a very simple, muted colour palette!
