Charming Chapel Wedding

Charming Chapel Wedding

via

Kira is a bride that is not afraid to admit that she had been planning her wedding well before her husband proposed. With all of that planning time she was able to really nail down what was most important to her for her big day. Floral decor by her mother, a hidden chapel in the woods, and a cheese wheel wedding cake.

As you see all of her pre-planning paid off and made for one gorgeous wedding captured by Redfield Photography. But don't take our word for it, keep scrolling and check out the full gallery to see more!

From the Bride

For years and years before Chris came into my life, my mom (a florist) and I have been discussing favorite botanical beauties and waiting for the day when she could finally share her talents - let me tell you, she did not disappoint. Another thing I knew long before Chris proposed, was that I would marry him at a tiny chapel in the woods in the town where I grew up. I know it may be difficult to believe, but the first time Chris and I ever hung out (even before our first date) I had earlier that day discovered the chapel. When I met up with him I thought to myself, I think it might be us in that tiny chapel one day. And it happened, and it was perfect and dreamy! Brides-to-be out there, my advice is to go with your gut! If there are certain elements of your wedding that you've always imagined would be a certain way, then focus on those things and make them happen! You will be so happy you did. It's okay to let those lesser desires fall by the wayside if you can make the truly important meaningful ones a reality. A few other must-haves for us were the handmade letterpress invitations/menus/programs, designed and printed by Chris himself (Cedar Lane Letterpress), a cake made of stacked cheese wheels because I LOVE cheese and dislike wedding cake, a bluegrass band for the ceremony, a Photo Booth that mimicked a photo taken of us on our first date, and last but certainly not least, awesome photographers!!! We chose very well with Redfield Photography.
