Alanna and Rob's love story began at Toronto's Pearson International Airport. "We had both decided to join a mutual friend on a trip to volunteer in Kolkata, India and met in the airport on the way!" explains Alanna.

For their wedding day, the couple wanted a celebration that was simple, relaxed, and (most of all) fun. A choir of Alanna and Rob's friends performed during a lovely ceremony at Knox College Chapel. Afterwards guests congregated at a chic, nearby restaurant and enjoyed a scrumptious dinner, dancing, a photobooth and pickle bar. The couple says they ended the best day of their lives with the best party of their lives.

As for Alanna's favourite wedding detail, the bride admits it has to be her dress. "I couldn't find a traditional white dress in stores that I really loved, so I decided to make my own with the help of a friend of mine who is a really talented seamstress," says Alanna. "We went fabric shopping together and found this beautiful blush champagne sequined material that was both elegant and fun. I designed the dress, and she made it for me! The design was based on my budget, my style, and my body! I wanted to look amazing, and also feel comfortable."
