Dreamy Wedding in the Alps

Dreamy Wedding in the Alps

via

A start of another fabulous week and we are headed to the Rhone Alpes region for a dream wedding in the Alps planned by Haute Weddings and captured by the talented Alexander James Photography.

Today's couple Nicola & Alan, chose to host their wedding in the Alps because not only did they meet at a ski resort in France, but also their love of the mountains is a true reflection of their personalities. (Ibiza was in the cards too but the spectacular mountain scenery won the draw!)

The ceremony and reception were at a beautiful privately owned château about 1 hour from Geneva airport. Each part of the wedding was held in a new location on the Chateau grounds and unveiled to the guests little by little. The ceremony in the arched courtyard, the cocktail hour under the huge plane trees of the garden, dinner down on the lawn under a gorgeous double-rainbow and beautiful vistas, and dancing in the vaulted cellar with secret passages.

Moon lanterns, tiki torches, tea lights, and fairy lights added to the ambiance of this ancient stone Chateau ! You almost expected guests to make their way along the corridors by torchlight!

Nicola's bridesmaids wore all white, while Alan's groomsmen wore a navy blue....his suit was made to measure by Dress 2 Kill London. Nicola wore Gemy Maalouf, by a Lebanese designer, the dress is called 'Star', from Mirror Mirror boutique London. This is a special one - it was a one off couture dress made for a catwalk show. It was never part of the main collection on sale. The original catwalk version was left by a rep for Mirror Mirror boutique. So only a few brides who have tried it on there have ever worn it!

Nicola has a vintage style 50′s flair to her personality and the wedding reflected this in many ways. First and foremost her engagement ring is a 1950s antique Berganza, Hatton Garden, London

The cocktail music was a trio of very talented and beautiful girls from the Bombshell Belles performing the most popular music of the 40′s and 50′s. Inspired by the American GI's they sang in close harmony with a unique twist to give a distinctive vintage sound to the cocktail hour!

When it was time to party however the 1950′s microphones were traded in for sunglasses and glow bracelets. DJ Doug kept the party going down in the vaulted cellar to House music...Ibiza may have made it's way to the Alps in some shape or form afterall!!
