When planning your wedding you'll probably find yourself drawn to more than one style - and they might be completely different! There are no rules dictating your wedding must be rustic or chic, garden party or black tie, so don't be afraid to mix up your styles. That's exactly what London wedding planner Always Andri and photographer Julia & You wanted to show in their latest styled shoot, combining a stunning barn venue with glam styling. Using wild, organic floral arrangements contrasted with sequins and gold leaf they got it spot on! The navy, berry and gold palette is just right for an autumnal wedding too. If you've ever wondered how a styled shoot comes together, don't miss the video by Mark Fisher!

Andri's story behind the shoot -

I discovered Kingshill Barn while doing a venue search for a client, I instantly knew it would be perfect for a shoot I'd been planning with Julia & You Photography. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the rolling plains of the nature reserve are a wonderful and unique feature of the barn. Inspired by the use of moody blues in the interiors world I wanted to put together a shoot that contrasted deep blues and golds with lush foliage and the rustic black barn. I really wanted to show that you can go glam in a barn setting! The barn windows provided the perfect backdrop to our ceremony set up and we softened the light by creating a ceremony backdrop of voile and ferns, an easy look to replicate for your wedding as you can just pin ferns to a long drops of fabric (we used net curtains!)

For the tablescape I used midnight blue sequin table runners from the Sweet Hostess with vintage gold tableware from Idyllic Days (Kent). Florists Euphoric Flowers added an asymmetric display of various foliages including ferns and passion fruit leaves. I did the calligraphy for the place cards to which I also added gold leaf edging. The 5 tiered cake by Yum Nums was displayed on a gold sequin cloth with an abundance of passion flower foliage and fruit, a decadent display in a rustic setting.

The fabulous dresses were by David Fielden and fitted the concept perfectly with their metallic fern motifs and we were able to showcase two looks that could work for day and evening. We accessorised both looks with delicate floral hair pieces by Blackbirds Pearl, statement jewellery by Moodswing Couture and stunning shoes by bridal footwear designers Merle & Morris.
