Plantation Bridals with Burgundy Florals

Plantation Bridals with Burgundy Florals

via

We heart plantations and are very jealous of any bride lucky enough to be photographed amongst some of nature's most beautiful scenery. Greer Gattuso Photography captured bride Ellie perfectly under the romantic Spanish Moss with her burgundy lips and florals...

From the bride Ellie: " I have always been interested in architecture, design, and exploring new places. My (now) husband and I had toured Laura Plantation just a few monthes before he proposed. I was immediately attracted to its natural beauty and vibrant colors. Many people in Louisiana have never heard of Laura Plantation. This is most likely because it is over shadowed by its neighbor, Oak Alley Plantation. Both places are beautiful but Laura seemed to be more appealing to me because of its rarity , creole history, and architecture. I left thinking, "I would really love to get married here in front of the house under the oak trees!" The day he proposed we contacted the plantation immediately and, sadly, found out they were no longer going to host parties to direct their focus on the history and preservation of the property. After touring multiple venues we decided on another plantation for the wedding. When it came time to schedule my bridal portraits I thought it would be nice to at least take my bridal portraits at Laura Plantation and I'm so glad I did!Another love of mine is all things vintage. My vintage inspired lace and beaded sheath gown by Essense of Australia was contrasted by the colors of my floral headpiece and bouqet and the colors of the house and surrounding gardens. Greer Gattuso Photography captured myself and this beautiful venue perfectly!"
