Intimate Woodsy Bohemian Wedding: Amanda + Eli

Intimate Woodsy Bohemian Wedding: Amanda + Eli

via

Happy Monday, friends! We're starting the week off with the sweetest-ever Montana wedding, captured by Jeremiah and Rachel Photography + styled by Cara of Goldfinch Events & Design. Amanda + Eli met when they were just 16 (too cute!) and have been together virtually every day since. Their vision for their mini destination wedding was an intimate Montana-style dinner, meets super fun party all-in-one. Seriously, who can argue with that?! They worked with Cara to tie in all of their favorite wedding trends, but kept the decor elegant, romantic and natural. By serving a dinner filled with fresh, local ingredients, they were able to really give their guests a taste of the region - a beautiful setting near Glacier National Park. Let's hear more from Amanda about how they decided on their Weatherwood Homestead location...

After a year of being engaged, Eli & I took a road-trip to beautiful Northwestern Montana, about 430 miles away from our hometown, to find the perfect wedding location. We wanted to feel a sense of destination-wedding, having all of our guests meet us in Whitefish, Montana days before our Wedding enjoying the states biggest lake, boating, hiking and taking in all of the beauty Montana has to offer. There is nothing in the world like Northwestern Montana... everything is lush, green, serene & peaceful.

Their fun invite suite, designed with gold-foil antlers + a hand-drawn map of the area, set the right tone for the celebration from the get-go.

Amanda says, Our son Paeton was Eli's sweet best man. We feel so honored and lucky to have had our son with us on our wedding day, knowing that not everyone has that special experience. He had been on the countdown for this day for months & hasn't stopped talking about it since!

Majorly love both Amanda's Leanne Marshall dress + her woodsy bouquet by Mum's Flowers!

In the midst of our entirely perfect day I had two favorite moments, among many others. The first being walking down the aisle to Eli. Eli & I had never gone a full day without talking & we gave our goodnight kisses the night before knowing that 6 PM the following evening, when I walked down the isle, would be the first time would see one another or talk. We were both filled with so much emotion as I walked down the isle to 'our song', Matt Corby's Resolution, played acoustic by an amazing local artist. Eli's eyes welled with tears and my heart felt fuller than ever before in that moment knowing that after 7 years, full to the brim with butterflies, I was finally marrying my true love. It felt like Eli & I were the only two in the world. My second favorite memory from the evening was while I was dancing with my Grandfather, whom I admire more than anyone in the world, for our Father/Daughter dance. He shared with me that he had learned more about love and life in that one evening from Eli and I that day than he had in his entire life.

Processional: Resolution - Matt Corby

Recessional: Crash - Dave Matthews Band

First Dance: All of Me - John Legend

There are SO many amazing design elements seen throughout their entire celebration. No detail was overlooked! Shop A + E's fun wedding to achieve a similar style for your big day:

That kraft paper menu would be a fun + totally do-able DIY!

A few final words from the beautiful bride, We ate dinner with our loved ones under the big Montana sky, and followed with a true dance party with no shortage of cocktails on hand. A full moon made an appearance that night as well! Eli and I have never felt more loved or blessed than we did on our Wedding Day. It was a dream, a blast and our very own fairy tale.

Congrats you two, and thanks so much for sharing your day with us!
