There was something about this ethereal anniversary shoot that drew me in today. Pictures & Hearts joined with and florist Sarah Kelman Flowers to capture the first wedding anniversary of Joanna and Jackey who wanted to commemorate their first year with beautiful photographs.

Joanna and Jackey tell the story of how they met. "We met at University. Although we were not studying the same Major, but we were classmates in a number of courses and we were part of a group of friends that hung out together. We were good friends for almost 4 years but we never considered each other as partner until we were working at a late night shift job together. We shared many stories and watched the sunrise in the morning at Coogee beach. That's how we fell in love."

On what he loves about Joanna, Jackey remarks, "I love Joanna, she has a great personality. She is a great person to talk to, she's a great listener and she shows interest in what I have to say."

On what she loves about Jackey, Joanna says, "I love the way Jackey takes care of me. He pays so much attention on what I love and he has been so patient and supporting even during the hard time. I knew he is the one from the first day he asked me to be his girl."

Jackey tells the proposal story. "It was the last night of our Melbourne getaway, we had nice dinner at Crown Melbourne, we took a stroll alongside the Yarra river. After this, we returned to our beautiful hotel, I surprised Joanna by proposing to her and she said yes."
