Three Ways to Dress Your Groomsmen

Three Ways to Dress Your Groomsmen

Our blogger bride-to-be Elise from is back today, sharing three options that she and her fiancé considered when deciding how to style their groomsmen.

Hello again, mywedding brides! With just four months to go until the big day, we're checking things off our planning list left and right. The latest to-do that we knocked out? Groomsmen attire! These days there are so many fun options other than the typical Men's Wearhouse rental (not that there's anything terribly wrong with that!). Here are three ways to dress your groomsmen that you might not have thought of yet.

Mismatched suits.
Similar to the mismatched bridesmaid dress trend, groomsmen can pick out their own suits or wear a suit they already have. You could do a color like grey and let them all pick out different shades, or you could pick a specific color and have them pick out different suit cuts and styles. You can also accessorize them with different ties, pocket squares, and socks.

Renting suits.
I'm not talking about your typical ill-fitting suit rental. For our groomsmen, we're using Menguin. You can read all about them and why I think they're awesome on my blog WTFab, but essentially they are a suit rental company that allows your groomsmen to go online, enter in their measurements, and receive a perfect fitting suit delivered right to their doorstep. They have a great selection of suits, and we're going with The Brooklyn -a slim fit, medium grey suit. I love the convenience of the whole process and how sharp the suits look!

Buying affordable suits.
When we were first looking into suit options, my fiancé and I thought that if our groomsmen were going to spend $100 to rent a suit, they might as well purchase an affordable option from somewhere like H&M (we liked this grey suit option). That way at the end of the party, they could keep their suit. I still think this is a great option if your groomsmen happen to be very average in size. But if you have any tall gentlemen in your bridal party (like we do), usually super affordable suits don't come in long options.
