On your daughter or son's wedding day, of course the bride is the star. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't look fantastic. For more formal or evening weddings, you're going to want a glam dress to match the occasion. Here are 10 gorgeous mother-of-the-bride (or groom) dresses that will make sure you look your best in every photo!

Above, the floral print on the skirt of this dress is romantic and sweet-perfect for a wedding. Pair with minimal accessories and a simple updo because the print is impactful enough on its own.

Petite women will love this flattering sheath and jacket sheath (below). In a warm golden shade, this dress is sophisticated without being dull. For women shorter than 5'2", make sure to have your dress hemmed so it elongates your silhouette.

Mother of the bride dresses often hint at the wedding's color palette without looking too matchy-matchy with the bridal party. If the wedding's decor is using a lot of sequins or metallics, this gorgeous soft pink dress with sparkly sleeves could be just the ticket.

Similarly, if the decor uses a lot of lace, a pretty lace bodice will blend in nicely.

Athletic figure? We love this beautifully draped gown below with intricate beading along the bodice. You'll look like you are floating all night long (and on such a happy day, you will be).

Long sheaths that flare out just slightly (not as much as a mermaid or trumpet gown) are flattering on a wide range of body types. Go elegant in gold with this dusty blush gown with overlay (above) or if you're really comfortable in bolder colors, a purple dress like the one below.

Black and white weddings can be difficult for the mother of the bride to dress for. If your daughter asks you to wear a black dress, you might feel like its too non-traditional to wear one, as if you are making a statement that you don't approve of the wedding. Relax! Today, black dresses are perfectly appropriate to wear to weddings for the bridal party, family members, and guests.

The only rule is to select a black dress that is decidedly non-funereal. And we think these three dresses won't make anyone think you are in mourning! The black and white bodice with high neckline is conservative and chic. Below, be a bit daring with a low scalloped neckline (if this is slightly too low, but you otherwise the dress, have a tailor add a bit of lace to the collar.

Or you can incorporate a bold dash of color to your black dress. With these festive blue flowers, you will look completely celebratory!
