A Pretty DIY Confetti Cone Tutorial

A Pretty DIY Confetti Cone Tutorial

via

Another week.. another pretty little DIY project to keep your crafty fingers busy this weekend! These doily cones make super pretty confetti holders, or an alternative way to display flowers, food or favours at any wedding or event. Plus, they're super easy to make with just a few items!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Paper doilies (find similar here)
  • Ribbon or twine
  • Cardboard template

METHOD:

Start by dividing your doilies into three.

We found it easier to make a template (fractions aren't our thing!) before cutting them.

Take one section and roll it into a cone shape

Then secure using double-sided tape or glue (we found tape gives a stronger hold, and didn't make the paper all crinkly like some glues!)

Thread your ribbon through the holes in either side of the doily.

And there you have it! A super pretty DIY Doily Cone to fill as you wish!

Doilies are available in so many colours and patterns, I think it would be fun to have a play and mix and match some different styles for something totally unique! What do you think?
