To all the pet parents + dog lovers out there, Happy National Dog Day! We absolutely love it when couples choose to include their pup into their wedding day! After all, they are not only an important member of the family, but they really have a knack for making photo ops that much sweeter! To celebrate this super fun day, we are sharing some of our best tips + ideas for incorporating your dog into your wedding day - with lots of super cute photos! :)
Let's kick things off with Tip #1: A cute tie or bow tie for your pup will help your furry pal celebrate in style! Shop some of our faves below:

Tip #2 seems like a no-brainer, but if you want to incorporate your pup in your day, make sure your venue allows dogs! Some venues will allow furry friends to make an appearance for the ceremony only, some let them stay all day, and others have a strict policy against the idea, so if it's important to you to have your pup there, be sure to check before you sign any contracts!
Tip #3 is another fun style idea: Deck out their collar with pretty blooms! :) You can have your florist lend a hand or you can create a floral collar with faux blooms from Afloral or Blooms by the Box.

Tip #4: One great place to include your pet is during the ceremony! Have your pup stand in for the flower girl or ring bearer - plus you can dress them in a sweet floral or leaf wreath! Tip #5: Even if you're keeping it super simple and eloping somewhere, we bet your pup would still like to come along for the ride! These couples ( above and below) both eloped - just the two of them and their pup - and each celebration seemed like the perfect, little family affair!
Tip #6: Be sure to grab a family portrait or two...because the snaps above and below are just the cutest, right?!! :)
