I'd always aimed to hit the ground running when it came to wedding planning, and have been breezily ticking everything off my 'to do' list ever since we got engaged in February. And so far, it feels so worth it. So much so that I've very few wedding updates to fill you in on this time!

The girls and I have been poring over hairstyles we like ahead of a hair and make-up trial early next year. As all my bridesmaids have such different hair types, I want to find relaxed, individual styles that will suit them all, but have some feature to bring them together.

I've also been organising a 'mini' hen do for my mum, aunt, Jamie's step mum and sister to come along to. I've plumped for a weekend in Sheffield, which is exactly in the middle of our two home towns, and is where I spent one of the best years of my life, studying for a masters and making life long friends.

Not being weighed down by wedding plans has had massive benefits on my social life this month, which is handy, because three of my close friends were each celebrating their birthdays.

I feel like we're busy most weekends until Christmas now, which I can't wait for, as Jamie and I will be spending it together (this year with my parents) for the first time ever. Wish us luck! X
