We're so happy to announce that our sweet friend Katie at Ponderosa & Thyme will be heading to England after a run of hugely successful workshops in the States. Along with film photographer and Editor of Wedding Sparrow, Sara Russell, Katie will be hosting the artist workshop 24-28th April 2016 at a stunning and historical location in Dorset, England (pictured above by Taylor & Porter). Steeped in aristocratic history and still used as a family home by the Earl and Countess of Shaftesbury, you're invited to become a Lord or Lady for the week.

Surrounded by inspiration, we will immerse ourselves in foraging, floral design, beautifully prepared meals, and new friendships. Much of this artist retreat will be dedicated to the process of finding your own personal creative flow and how to approach floral design basics in a new way. Ponderosa workshops are designed for new and experienced florists as well as photographers, stylists, creatives and dreamers that want to grow and expand their skill set for more flexibility and creativity in their work.

This retreat is all inclusive once you arrive. Your food and lodging is fully covered in the workshop fee so you won't have to figure out those details. You just get yourself here, and we'll take care of the rest.

Discussions and one on one sessions will include floristry business basics like: How to source local materials, floral design technique, foraging basics, networking and working with other industry professionals, creating styled photo shoots, getting your work published, social media presence/online image and creating a curated portfolio. We'll also be covering topics like: Creating sustainability for your creative practice, finding and defining your creative voice, turning your passion into your career and more!
