I don't think I've ever seen a more smiley happy bride and groom, which makes these images today a pure joy to view.

WWW readers Sophie and James tied the knot on the 4 th July 2015 at The Tetley in Leeds, a magnificent building which is now a gallery and the space really set the tone for the wedding. They envisioned a hand made day which included their fave authors, hence the book theme. There were oodles of DIY crafty touches using books and even a book themed cake.

Sophie found her pretty gown in Monsoon while James and the boys wore grey check suits, the bridesmaids were in vibrant blue. Sunflowers, cocktails and lashings of confetti later, Sophie and James were wed.

Thanks so much to Paul Joseph Photography for sharing their awesome photographs today.

THE PROPOSAL | We got engaged in Italy on our 10 year anniversary. We didn't have a ring but the moment felt right- we found a ring soon after and the ring shop managed to rush our order through (even with our very limited Italian!) in 2 days! I got to pick my own ring which made it really special.

THE VISION | We wanted a wedding that really matched us - we're both into reading and art and I'm a big fan on anything crafty so we wanted to pick a venue and theme that really matched. We wanted a relaxed celebration with all our favourite people around us. We picked our favourite flowers and our favourite authors and went from there. We wanted a wedding that felt homemade and my Mum was a huge help bringing the vision to life!

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We had 2 years to plan the wedding and headed straight to The Tetley to book in the date. It has recently opened and with the combination of beer and art we knew we were on to a winner. The photography was our next stop as it's so important to us. We had such a lot of help from family and friends that the planning was really good fun and made the run up to the wedding even more special!

THE VENUE | The Tetley is an old brewery that has been renovated and made into a restaurant, bar and gallery - as we're both city people we wanted somewhere in the centre of Leeds that reflected that. The Tetley was perfect and they were so helpful - Charlotte in particular was a pleasure to work with! Guests were offered tours of The Tetley which was a really nice touch from the venue. For the evening we had the whole of the bar and outside area and had a band and music all night long.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Something new was my dress, something old was my grandma's lace butterfly brooch which was pinned on my dress, something borrowed was the pearl necklace borrowed from one of my bridesmaids and something blue was the nail varnish on my toes!

FINDING THE DRESS | We bought the dress from Monsoon - I'd tried on 15 dresses from lots of different stores and price ranges and when I tried the dress on from Monsoon I knew it was the one!

GROOM'S ATTIRE | James bought his and his groomsmen's suits from Slaters.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | For the music we focused on a mix of new and old - I walked down the aisle to music by Yann Tiersen and we followed up with Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac and Everlong by the Foo Fighters. Our first dance was Love Song by The Cure.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Our beautiful bridesmaids will forever be known as the 'S Club'. Sally, my chief bridesmaid, is my best friend and one of my oldest friends too - we've known each other for over a decade. I met Sarah and Sophie at University and they are still two of my bestest friends now!

THE FLOWERS | We chose sunflowers as they are our favourite flowers - bright and very summery! Plus we wanted a colour to match bright blue and the yellow matched (or rather, clashed!) perfectly. Floral Expression did a great job of bringing what we wanted together!

THE CAKE | My Mum made our wedding cake and was given the theme of books - she created a very tasty cake made up of 3 different cakes! Cherry and almond cake, lemon cake and chocolate orange cake. She took some photos of our bookshelf and got the photo printed on to icing around the edge too! The cake was finished off with a pair of Penguins under a book arch, designed to match the Penguin Classics book theme.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Our photographers were amazing and really understood the kind of photos we wanted from the day. Paul and Kelly from Paul Joseph Photography were amazing throughout the full planning process. Right from the start when we went to their incredible studio (and met Daisy the dog!), through to the big day itself they were really keen to find out more about us so they knew exactly how we wanted the day captured. Friendly, professional and would absolutely recommend them if you want a combination of action shots with some different posed shots too.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Details were a huge part of the day. The venue was filled with handmade decorations - from succulents in books, through to book folded decorations and handmade bunting. My Mum is a very talented lady and made nearly all of the decorations herself by hand! One of our favourite touches on the day was our Polaroid guest book board - every guest had a tag that they needed to replace with a Polaroid photo of themselves. This matched up with a guest book for them to sign - we had great fun the day after slotting all of the photos in the right places.

THE HONEYMOON | For our honeymoon we went to Rome for a week after the wedding. It was amazing - perfect weather, great sights and even better food and drink!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | There are so many but here are a few:

Our open top car ride to the ceremony when we got to spend a little bit of time just the two of us.

Spending time on the roof of The Tetley getting our photographs taken - such an amazing view over the city and lots of fun!

Dancing with our friends to the band.

Sally, our Chief Bridesmaid doing an amazing speech and making Sophie's Dad cry (he never, ever cries!).

Realising that every guest had filled in the guest book and had their photo taken for the Polaroid guestbook board!

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Take some time out to get some photos just the two of you - it's nice to get a bit of time to chat together as you'll get whisked off in so many directions with so many people to see! When the photos came back we were so pleased that we did it.
