Kelsey and Vince first met during junior high, but it wasn't until years later that they finally took their friendship to the next level. "We went to dinner and a movie, and on our way back home, we stopped at a location where we used to hang out when we were first dating. It was the place Vince first said 'I love you,' and Vince thought it would make the perfect place to pop the question," Kelsey says.

For their wedding, the pair knew they wanted something simple, relaxed and rustic. "We wanted a fun, easygoing day that tied in a country theme from Vince's farming background and fit with the venue," Kelsey says. The couple ended up choosing a colour palette of charcoal grey, blush pink, white and teal with touches of burlap and lace to achieve a country feel.

Since having fun was a priority for the day, Kelsey, Vince and their bridal party took some time before the ceremony for a light-hearted and playful photo shoot with their photographer. "One of my favourite parts of the day was the time before the ceremony, when we were doing bridal party pictures and just having fun," Kelsey remembers.

After the photo shoot, Kelsey walked down the aisle in her blush pink sparkly gown. "I loved that it was a little bit different," she says.

Another highlight for the couple was the rustic venue, Hawthorn Estates. "The venue was one of our favourite details because it was beautiful and it fit in with our theme so well," Kelsey says. The couple commissioned HomeStyle Kitchen and Deli to cater their dinner, which was a big hit among the guests. "The dinner was so well done, there was a lot of food and the catering staff were great to work with."

In keeping with the fun vibe of the wedding, the night ended with a big blow-out featuring dancing, laughing and plenty of partying. "It was great when all of the scheduled stuff was over, and it was just time to have fun!" Kelsey says.
