Modern Bohemian Wedding Inspiration in the Almond Orchards

Modern Bohemian Wedding Inspiration in the Almond Orchards

via

The blooming almond orchards here in California are a sight to be seen. For just a short time of the year, in the spring, these orchards are transformed into the dreamiest place. We love seeing couples take full advantage of each season, and are so excited that designer, Samantha Dapper, + Mary Costa Photography decided to utilize this ultra romantic setting in the best of ways, staging a modern bohemian editorial that's sure to inspire!

Angelena of Shindig Chic tackled the lovely, lovely florals - and was careful not to compete with the flutter of blooms already surrounding the team's set up. She shares, The particular orchard that we stumbled upon had so many blooms that it looked almost like the branches were snowy and it was so serene. We loved the juxtaposition of bright modern details in such an ethereal setting. We wanted to put our own modern twist on some of our favorite bohemian decor elements. Shibori and macrame are in high demand, so we paired them with bright pinks, soft greys and sharp details for a fresh take.

A boho paper suite by Letter & Ink got things started off right!

Boho bouquet recipe: ranunculus, anemone, double tulip, thistle, protea, privett berry + jasmine... ♥

Those hot pink florals are a perfect complement to the blush hue of the almond blooms. And the thick detailing on Rebecca Schonoveld's Fallon dress was so intricate and reminiscent of the macrame detailing on the tablescape to come that it helped tie the details of the shoot together beautifully.

The tablescape took shape thanks to a pretty indigo + bright pink palette. The shibori runner by Juniper & Fir was a perfect piece to bring those hues together and agate calligraphy place cards gave each place setting a unique, special feel.

We adore this shibori + macrame vignette. Wouldn't it be the prettiest place for exchanging vows?!

So much thanks to the team below for sharing this editorial today! Happy, happy spring everyone!!!
