Afternoon Lovely Peeps and Happy Friday!

We have an incredible wedding to share with your lovely eyes today. Think all of the fun you would have at a carnival mixed with the happy and chilled vibes of a festival and you pretty much have Tash and Clayton's amazing wedding.

Sent all the way from Durban in South Africa and captured by Tanya Jacobs Photography, Tash and Clayton's wedding is full of some fantastic ideas and inspiration, all of which are built on their love for each other and the love they have for their friends and family. Held at the Freedom Cafe, the same place where they had their first date, Tash and Clayton wanted to create a day that was different to any other wedding they had been too before so opted for a carnival theme with lots of fun entertainment for their guests. With a build your own burger bar, their own unique 'film' set, a photo booth and cocktails served from a caravan, what is there not to like about this awesome wedding!

Look out for Tash's beautiful wedding dress that was handmade in just 4 days and their botanical succulent favours!

Tash and Clayton talk us through their fabulous Carnival Festival.

Clay and I travelled to Cape Town on our 3 month anniversary of dating so we could have a little get away to get to know each other better. On the flight half way through mid air he popped the question over the intercom, in front of the what seemed like 200 million people! Never in my life have I ever been at a loss for words. I've never had anything so romantic happen to me. It would've been a very weird rest of the flight should I have said No but I didn't, I said YES and I'm so glad I did as it's been the most incredible journey with him.

Aunty Debs (a really good friends Aunt) made my dress in 4 days as I was very indecisive on what I wanted and I LOVED IT!!! My shoes are from Steve Madan Heels for the Ceremony & hand made Sweet P's from a special friend to party in all night long! My headpiece was a flower crown and Veil that was also hand made. I also wore Forever new earrings as a gift from my Mom.

My Bridesmaid dresses were all made by a special friend Genna Wae who owns the SAM Store in South Africa. Their flower crowns were also handmade.

We wanted an all round stress free no panic day. We wanted a very vibey part - a one night all nighter but also we wanted a very colourful display. We chose to go with a Carnival theme. We had huge C&T lights made and used the 55cm balloons to create the hype we were looking for. It was very relaxed but also lots of fun. We also wanted all our guests to interact so we created a alcoholic slush puppy bar, candy floss and a popcorn area so that people could enjoy the nibbles whilst we were exchanging vows. I also wanted to set a movie scene so we had a HUGE wooden frame made and our bridal parties and ourselves stood behind whilst all our guests witnessed our day of LOVE.

Having the build your own burger bar created such a hype as everyone was very excited to choose their own condiments from the beautiful display. The ice cream bar at the end was such a hit with Caramel scoops to bubble-gum and rainbow mixed with whispers, smarties and lots of rose ice glaze. It was like magic in your mouth! We then danced all night to our favourite songs whilst in-between taking pictures at our very own handmade fancy and over the top photo booth. If you got thirsty we had aloe water on top and the shooters were on tap for a fun and enjoyable evening. It was just all round magical and fun. I've never been to a wedding like ours and it was everything we ever dreamed of and couldn't have asked for anything better!

Alexis Yapp took care of all our floral arrangements. We didn't have much as we just wanted to fill the home made glass bottles, vases and jars with some colour.

Our local printing company RBG studios made all our signs and props and did a fabulous JOB! We loved all the chalkboard signs around the venue.

For our cake we wanted something very different, so we opted for a gorgeous Rainbow cake. It was delicious and our guests loved snacking on it with some crisp champagne.

The ceremony was white Wimbledon chairs, a huge frame in the tree, pom poms hanging from the tree and some greenery to add a little fun. For the reception we used a rustic feel with lots of wooden tables and benches and cut outs of tree stumps painted in different colours. There was no seating plan. Everyone sat where they wanted. The tables were decorated with colourful flowers of all different kinds, popped into copper bottles, glass jars and vases that were bought from the SPCA and painted at home. There were very big and bright colourful balloons all over the venue, a black and white dance floor, festoon lights in the trees, pom poms hanging from the trees and pictures of us hanging in the back of colourful string. We had an old caravan to serve our ice cream from, a huge wooden table to make your own cocktails and a table filled with various flavours of Aloe water on tap. Very rustic and carnival like.

We used the Venues own very special lady Lucy from Renegade Kitchen for our BUILD YOUR OWN BURGER BAR, our make your own cocktails, for dessert we had an ice cream bar filled with odds and ends and sweets and sauces. It was suuuuuuper delicious.

Walking down the aisle to my Husband who I hadn't seen for 2 weeks, and seeing the tears pouring down his face. Then noticing my little Human boy Jordyne (11 year old son) waking toward me in tears to give me away to clay.

Make a budget and stick to it. Don't waste unnecessary money and be very careful with who you extend the invite to. Keep it as close and intimate as possible with people who celebrate yours and your hubby's love.
