Flower Filled Bridesmaid Party - Polka Dot Bride

Flower Filled Bridesmaid Party - Polka Dot Bride

I love the idea of a good bridesmaid party, in fact some of my favourite times with my favourite people have been over champagne, cake and flowers so today's flower filled bridesmaid party is right up my alley!

The second in a series of inspiration shoots that are all about inspiring and spoiling the bridesmaids just as much as the newlyweds, the team were inspired to create a surprise flower crown workshop for the bride's best friends. Champagne cocktails and a decedent array of beautiful desserts followed, rounding out the afternoon of sweet fun.

Emma from Coco & Confetti shares the story that set the scene for the shoot. "On a misty Saturday in February, an excited bride-to-be invited her best girlfriends to a stunning location in Sunshine Coast hinterland to be showered with love, desserts & blooms! Her agenda: to ask her bestie's to be her bridesmaids! The girls arrived and were surprised by a flower crown workshop with an overflowing "bloom bar" (using lisianthus, carnations, hydrangeas, roses, lavender, baby's breathe & eucalypt)."

Carefully wrapped, with accompanying gold stationery, each "bridesmaid to be" would be greeted with a silk floral robe from Ivy & Matilda with a card inviting them to be a bridesmaid.

Guests were surprised with the beautiful "Bloom Bar" created by Flour & Bloom.

A drinks cart packed with champagne, raspberry liqueur and rose petal filled icecubes set the scene for cocktails.

A party is not a party without dessert so One Last Bite and Hansel & Gretel Specialty Cakes created an amazing dessert table of macarons, mini cupcakes, sugar stars, lamington cake, naked butter cake, grapes, berries & figs, Eton Mess, raspberry and lemon mouses, chocolate gems, Turkish delight, nougat and chocolate bark.

Kylie of Just For Love Photography also crafted up this sweet video of the celebration.
