Cassandra and Benito were always called "lovebirds" when spotted together by their close friends, so the pair decided this concept would make the perfect wedding theme. "We used birdcages as centrepieces and accent pieces," Cassandra explains. "Overall we were going for the vintage elegance look."

The colour palette for the wedding included plum, dusty rose, lilac and ivory. Much of the decor was done by Cassandra herself, such as painting all of the centrepieces to match the colour palette, designing the wedding invitations and the memorial table. "All the decoration details made the day even more special because I knew I had a hand in it," she says.

Cassandra and Benito agree that one of the major highlights of their big day was when the entire wedding party got up to perform a dance they put together in the two weeks leading up to the wedding. "Our bridesmaids and groomsmen stepped up to the plate and did an unreal job," Cassandra remembers. "And let's face it, they looked good doing it!"
