For this edition we checked in with the blogger who put together this festive polish.
It's beginning to look a lot like the holiday season, especially on Pinterest. This yuletide glitter gradient manicure, created by Sarah Waite of Chalkboard Nails, was a hit with many beauty enthusiasts this week. Waite shared her steps for decking out your tips in red and green sparkles.
What you need:

• Base coat. Try: CND Stickey Anchoring Base Coat.
• White nail polish. Try: Essie Nail Polish in Marshmallow.
• Red and green glitter polish. Try: Snowman Nail Polish in Red and Green Glitter.
• Top coat. Try: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

How to do it:
Step 1: Apply the base coat.
Step 2: Swipe on two coats of the white nail polish. Tip: Waite used China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Frosty, but she had to apply three coats, which extended the drying time significantly. Instead, she recommends using Essie Nail Polish in Marshmallow. Apply thin layers of the polish and wait a few minutes between each coat to speed up the overall drying time.
Step 3: Create the glitter gradient effect by dabbing a generous amount of red and green glitter top coat onto the tips of your nails. Then spread the glitter down toward your cuticle.
Step 4: Let the polish dry for a few minutes. Then finish your nails with a fast-dry top coat.
Step 5: To keep your cuticles and nails looking nice through the winter season, Waite recommends massaging on a cuticle cream daily. Try: Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. Tip: "If you have trouble remembering to apply, I'd suggest placing your balm or lotion somewhere where you will see it and be reminded, like near your computer monitor or next to the TV remote," Waite says.
