Gone are the days of white on white crystal tablescapes says Valery of Agape Wedding And Event Design. She teamed up with Jack And Jane photography to bring us this vision of organic, whimsical wedding ideas, set at Morrells Boutique in Johannesburg, South Africa. "Most contemporary and modern couples are looking for something a little more authentic, tasteful and rich to the senses," says Valery.

Joining creative forces with Secret Diary stationery design and Dalton & Bloom florists, the team with worked with organic forms, natural elements, and metallics such as gold and copper related objects. This included a modern metallic wedding cake from Flour Power Designer Cakes. "Interesting textures featured heavily in our vision - every element of the event, from lighting, (think festoon lighting draped through trees), organic tablescapes featuring unusual organics, wild flowers and dense foliage to played a key role!"

"Rose gold, brass, bronze and copper are some of our favourite metallics for 2016. The shoot features an incredible collection of metallic handcrafted headpieces and jewellry from Lorean Jewellery and Black Betty Design, both local South African designers." Hair And Make-up was styled by Sam Scarborough and included epic fishtail braids, sophisticated ballerina buns and soft, loose curls - the perfect complement to the romantic wedding gowns from White Lilly Bridal.

Rose Quartz and Serenity feature heavily in our shoot, in most elements, ranging from the pink champagne, stationery prints and blue grey palette of the eucalyptus! Colour palettes for this look span from dark ivy greens and browns to pastel pinks and delicate petal tones.

Herbs, ferns and other green foliage are all featuring in wedding bouquets, alongside seasonal blooms for a whimsical yet rustic, just-picked feel.

Opting for a semi-naked frosting incorporates the simplicity of the naked cake trend, but allows for a play on texture, shape and form! Frosting is a great way to incorporate next year's trend of geometric shapes as well as the metallic luxe look. Gold foiling finished off with a real aloe leaf creatied the ultimate contrast between organic simplicity and handmade luxury.

Style the aisle: I opted for a custom made sheer muslin backdrop drape perfected with lush green foliage, eucalyptus and features of magnolias - this created a dramatic backdrop to the focal point of any wedding - the bride and groom!

Tablescapes are a way to really express your style footprint, choosing elegant and modern details.

Dusty rose-colored and light pink wedding dresses and s heer overlay details all give the illusion of more skin without being too revealing.
