Lauren and Benoit's wedding was on a perfect New England summer day at a private residence on beautiful Block Island, Rhode Island. These two creatives were all about bringing their seaside surrounds into their celebrations, from Lauren's beaded Selia Yang gown, to picking a moody palette of purples and grays for her bridesmaids. In true newlywed style, they even combined their talents and collaborated on some of the decor together - just wait till you see their huge installation hovering over the dance floor!

The coral, dusty pink, ivory and muted blue shades not only look gorgeous in Lauren's bouquet, but were used throughout the whole wedding.

These two couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather! It was a sweet touch to offer guests white parasols to protect them from the sunlight.

Lauren & Benoit celebrated with guests at long tables under a Sperry tent. Table decor included a wide variety of florals, complemented by the talented bride's own art work in the form of bright geodes. Lauren explains, "as a sculptor, I was excited to share my art with our wedding guests and to add my own personal touch to the beauty and magic of the day. By making the geodes for all the tables, I created another layer of interaction with our friends and family gathered there."

Soft and ethereal, the colors and the floor-length chiffon of Laura's bridesmaids' Amsale gowns work beautifully with the seaside venue.

Lauren & Benoit's classic three tier cake was covered in fondant for a traditional look, then softened with cream roses, natural wattle and greenery.

The bride, a visual artist, and the groom, a software engineer, worked together on an installation art piece that was raised above the dance floor inside their Sperry tent. According to Lauren, "Benoit and I ambitiously created this installation. Our piece literally crowned the day. That tremendous piece is a true reflection of our collaborative creativity. We were delighted to share our artistic vision with our guests!"
