Stylish Winter Gay Wedding With Grooms In Tweed - Weddingomania

These two guys organized their wedding in vintage and homey style, very personalized and cozy. It totally love their sense of style, elegance, love to details and a talent to mix and match. Dressed in tweed, chic and elegant, these men really nailed it!

Anthony and Nicholas said their 'I Dos' in the wonderfully atmospheric venue Asylum before transporting their nearest and dearest in a Gold Regal single-decker to One Friendly Place to party!

There's so much to love about this winter wedding, be it the cake toppers, the delicious cocktails, the bespoke portraits and the super cool table centers that I don't know where to start.

As this was a winter wedding, the grooms were keen to have clothes that were warm, comfortable yet smart and would reflect the décor of the venues. They also wanted to feel special and to wear bespoke clothes that they wouldn't wear every day. That's why they chose tweed suits, and they also wanted the party to match and feel the grooms' suits, so all suits were of similar styles and were made of tweeds which had similar tones and colors, but differing patterns.

The venue was dressed only with some simple festoon lighting and candles in what would have been the alter area, as they did not feel they needed to add anything to this already beautiful space.

One Friendly Place had everything they needed - the layout, décor, rooftop and quirky props perfectly complemented the ceremony venue and gave the feel they wanted to achieve. The guys made sure they used all the space by holding different parts of the day on different floors, beginning with cocktails and canapés on the top floor and rooftop and ending in dancing on the ground floor.

As for décor, the couple decided against flowers for the venues; instead they had cacti in tin pots along the tables and simple white crockery. They hung festoon lighting from a beam above the tables, but otherwise used lighting already at the venue - a mixture of various vintage lamps.

All the food was served 'family style', so that guests could tuck in and eat as much as they liked, whilst encouraging the long tables of guests to interact with one another.

The cake was a 'Mars bar cake' handmade by their friend Kat Andrews and a huge artisan cheese tower made by their friends Philip and Keith of Wildes Cheese, who were also guests on the day.
