In anticipation of the Fashion Weeks, we've been talking to some of our favorite writers, editors, photographers and fashion authorities about how they prepare for and survive the bustle of the streets, parties and runways.

Our own Laura Cassidy has become an expert survivor of the Fashion Week scene. On any given day, she might be front row at a show, dropping by a designer's studio, lunching with models and then, in the wee hours, holed up in her hotel room writing her Fashion Week Journal. Honestly, we don't know how she does it. So we asked.

I got a really great Marc Jacobs skirt this spring. It's white cotton with an amazing, amazing print-and pockets-and I just picture myself wearing it every day because it's so darn easy. Also: it's paparazzi bait for sure.

Send us a screenshot of your busiest day during Fashion Week.

Sure-except I'm real analog with my schedules. I guess I'm just old school, but I really like to make hard copy versions for myself, typically on magazine pages with Sharpie. For this particular day (Sunday 9/11), I'll be rolling with Tricia Smith, our executive vice president of designer apparel, so I don't have to keep track of addresses or anything. Having a car and a driver makes a whole universe of difference.

What will you do to recover? Do you have a secret FW weapon?

When my hotel has a bathtub, that's a game changer. Lifesaver. When I'm near a good grocery store with fresh produce and healthy options: game changer. Lifesaver. A quick Skype session with my sweet husband is worth a million bucks at the end of a hard day, and when all else fails, when morning comes again (as it always does!), I do believe in the energy-boosting, restorative power of a good outfit.

In all seriousness though, I have been talking with my naturopath about what to do after I get back. I typically find that I've actually got a lot of energy when I get home-I guess it's an inertia thing. My head knows I should get in bed for a weekend and reboot, but my body doesn't seem to want to slow down. And then-and then ... and then it catches up with me later. There's no way that a month with very few days off and long, long days in foreign cities with different time clocks can't catch up with you, so we have been talking about the best ways to nourish and replenish right away and along the way.

Shoes: comfort or style? What shoes will you be wearing?

Comfort AND style. I've been saving my burgundy checkerboard Vans from the recent Pop-In because there isn't much I love more than bright white sneakers. I also have these silver Chanel ankle boots that I want to bring because they're amazing, but they'll take up a fair amount of room in my bag so I really have to do some deep soul-searching and figure out if it's worth it. (Who am I kidding? They're worth it.)

Number one thing you won't forget to squeeze in while at Fashion Week.

This is going to sound so crazy, but last season when we were in Paris I bought these French Cheetos-like snacks at one of those Carrefour stores (like a convenience grocery store) and, man alive, they were amazing. I bought a bag for one of my favorite people on the merchant team, and then I bought another bag to bring home to share with my husband. We ate that last bag one at a time, savoring every crunch. I'm looking forward to reuniting with these amazing snacks, but at the same time I'm hoping not to eat them every day. Wish me luck!

I haven't been eating dairy, sugar or wheat all summer, and it would be great to stay on that trajectory-but my heart says those curly cheez things are worth it.

Who's the one person you know you'll make time to see despite the insanity?

Okay, again, this is gonna sound nuts. But I'm the one person I want to make time to see. It gets really so crazy, it truly does. It can really take a toll on you, physically and psychically, and I know I need to take time to slow down and do some yoga, take a walk, clear my head and remember who I am outside the madness of dashing here and there and staying up all night with my laptop open.

What's your all-time favorite souvenir from Fashion Week? (Pics, please.)

I always gather show invitations and cool printed matter and bring it all home for the cool folks on my team. It's definitely my favorite part of coming back to work-laying it all out on the conference room table and seeing which ones they all gravitate toward. I work with really talented designers and writers and put equal value on print and digital realms, and they create all kinds of things to support these brands all year long, so it's fun to share the tangible bits and talk about how the brands represent themselves.
