Eclectic Boho Desert Wedding Styled Shoot in California

Afternoon Lovely People and what a glorious one it is. I am just loving the sunshine today. I hope you are all getting sometime to enjoy it. I think we should all book ourselves a date with a beer garden come 5 o'clock!

We have such a beautiful styled shoot to share with you today. Put together by Julie of Jewel's Photography, this free spirited bohemian wedding shoot at Joshua Tree National Park combines three of my favourite things - the soul of a wanderlust, our planets natural beauty and, of course, some gorgeous ideas for your wedding. Add to that some talented suppliers all with a bohemian edge and you have yourself the perfect mix for a Tuesday afternoon of wedding inspiration!

Julie talks us through her passion for travelling and thirst for creativity and how it was these two things that inspired this eclectic wedding shoot in the California desert.

Look out for the fabulous wedding stationery by Bohemian Mint and pretty jewels by New Eve Jewelry.

An Eclectic Bohemian....

What is more fun than photographing a breathtaking wedding in the middle of the desert? Actually designing it too! I am a destination wedding photographer with a wandering soul craving Earth's extraordinary creations, and I found a way to bring both passions together with specializing in adventurous weddings and elopements all around the world. I also am a creative designer that works with other brands to style and photograph editorial shoots for marketing. And that is what this wedding inspiration in Joshua Tree National Park is - all my loves.

This styled wedding was photographed while I was journeying a 25-day road trip by myself across the country. I even designed, planned, and coordinated this entire editorial shoot from over 2000 miles away with vendors all across the states. The free-spirited vibe is what I do best. My soul is inspired by nature's magnificent wonders, and I bring that love into my style of art and design.

Working closely with the wedding vendors and within their niche, I created a beautiful eclectic wedding with just the right amount of bohemian. The desert speaks of soft Earth with its mellow tones and sandy ground; so I designed the floral to compliment with a mix of earthy plants including Tillandsia (air plants), eucalyptus, and a king protea. A handmade tapestry from India, vintage goblets, and gold geometric terrariums make for the perfect pop of color to compliment this pink-hair beauty and her handsome fellow. The couple's rings are handmade and nature-inspired. The bride wore a yellow gold ring designed to look like a branch twig with a pink sapphire centered around a halo of white diamonds. The groom wore a padauk wood band with chrysocolla stone and a guitar string inlay. The watercolor stationery is hand-painted with Joshua Tree imagery of the renowned trees and jumbo rock formations - a scene that is truly unforgettable.
