Eclectic, Bohemian Lakeside Wedding: AK + Dan

Eclectic, Bohemian Lakeside Wedding: AK + Dan

via

Okay, guys, please tell us you have already checked out AK + Dan's beyond awesome rehearsal dinner , featured on GWS earlier today, and that you're fully ready for their gorgeous wedding! If so, let's jump right in to all the pretty, planned by M Elizabeth Events, with florals + styling by HotHouse Design Studio.

On the details of the day, AK shares, I had a very clear vision of the wedding from the beginning. I kept telling my wedding planner and florist that I wanted an eclectic, European garden party. The flowers were my biggest inspiration, and they guided me throughout the whole decision making process. We made all of the decisions together, and we chose was most aesthetically pleasing to both of us. We have a very similar style, and so it was a fun process inspiring each other.

And W&E Photographie captured all those details perfectly! Let's take a look...

We're loving this lakeside first look so much! (And we're also loving AK's gorge fitted Monique Lhuiller dress, which she paired with a lovely Jennifer Behr crown).

So much love for AK's bridesmaids + their perfectly mismatched dresses! Shop their look in our guide below!

Processional: Old Pine - Ben Howard

Recessional: Smooth Sailin' - Leon Bridges

First Dance: Wanna Be on Your Mind - Valerie June

We have two favorite memories. First, the ceremony was just pure magic. We were standing underneath this insanely beautiful arbor with these huge bumble bees everywhere and this southern rainstorm was rolling in. We also wrote our own vows, and it was just a really neat time. Second, it started pouring down rain on the dance floor towards the end of wedding, and it just turned into this huge dance party. I'm not even sure what was happening, but it ended with Daniel and I crowd surfing.

At the reception, guests indulged on a variety of desserts, including the prettiest watercolor cake by Barb's Cakes + an awesome-looking wall of donuts from Hero Doughnuts.

When I started planning, I would go look at different wedding blogs Pinterest pages and pinned literally everything I liked. Then I went back through and found a theme in what I saved, and I deleted everything that did not fit. It really helped give me a clear vision and really inspired so many details of our wedding. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and stressful, but it's important to remember that your focus should be on the marriage and the covenant that is about to be made.
