The Voluminous Pony

Hair Stylist: Nicole Tomasch

How to Get the Look:

Step 1: ApplyVolume Maker to the root area in 1-inch horizontal subsections, making sure to cover entire scalp.

Step 2: Finger rouche the crown area and gently run through the top of the section with a boar bristle brush.

Step 3: Maintaining the tousled crown volume, comb nape and sides of hair into a ponytail, securing with hair band.

Step 4: Take a ½-inch section of hair and wrap around hair band, securing ends with a bobby pin.

Step 5: Add Volume Maker to mid shafts and ends to complete the look.

The Product & Why I Love It:

Volume Maker is a life changer. This has been a miracle product for my clients that have fine, limp, lifeless hair. It enables them to not only gain body and texture, but allows them to go a few days before shampooing. A few of MY favorite ways to use it are special occasion styles, perfect ponytails and beachy waves. I flick the miracle powder on the roots and create endless styling options!

Beach Waves

Hair Stylist: Karly Gonzalez

How To Get The Look:

Step 1: Apply Ample Angora below your crown and pull through to ends, scrunching to add texture and wave.

Step 2: To create extra volume while blow drying, brush the hair in your crown forward against its natural fall, drying the roots. This technique will help create a natural bend and lift at the scalp.

Because of Ample Angora's light and fluffy texture your hair will feel thicker and hold a style with a smooth, soft finish.

The Product & Why I Love It:

Ample Angora is a personal favorite and must-have for anyone who loves volume and touchable curls. While curly girls know the importance of a good mousse, most of us are not aware of the multiple uses and benefits it can provide. Ample Angora can be a lifesaver to those who struggle with limp and lifeless hair. It is my go-to product when I am creating voluminous blowouts, and beachy waves.

The Sleek Blowout

Hair Stylist: Jasmine Galazka

How to Get The Look:

Step 1: Apply Straightforward on towel-dried hair, spraying along the mid shafts and lengths. If the hair is thick or coarse, spray directly into strands. For finer hair, spray the product into the palms and apply using your fingers.

Step 2: After sectioning the hair, use a round brush to blow dry the hair sleek and frizz-free. Keep pressure as you brush through to promote sleekness.

Step 3: If needed, pass through the hair once with a flat iron.

Step 4: Finish with Sheer Lacquer for moveable and touchable hold.

The Product & Why I Love It:

Straightforward is essential in helping you blow dry for faster results. It helps to recondition your hair. With its main ingredient being black cumin oil (famous oil used by the pharaohs and for centuries it continues to serve), it leaves hair shiny and healthy for days. What I love most-it's a two for one deal.

Glossy Finger Waves

Hair Stylist: Summer Verrett

How to Get The Look:

Step 1: Create a deep side part, using the high point of the eyebrow as a marker.

Step 2: Section the hair into 3-4 sections. Use a 1-inch curling iron, curl 2-inch sections of hair. Pin each curl on the top of your head and let cool.

Step 3: Once cool, release curls and brush through.

Step 4: Dab a pearl-sized amount of on your palms and lightly coat the hair for a glossy, frizz-free finish.

The Product & Why I Love It:

My favorite Shu product is Master Wax. Even though it is a high control wax, it is very flexible and movable. It is a great wax to lay down flyaways, create beautiful ponytails as well as aid in perfectly sleek braids. I also love the fact that guys can get their hands in it as well-it's great for mohawks, pompadours and the trendy comb overs. Another way I love to use it is by applying a small amount to wet, curly or wavy hair and diffusing. It helps control curls as it dries. It is so versatile and is definitely an all-around favorite in our home!

The Textured Braid

Hair Stylist: Jennifer Gillis

How to Get The Look:

Step 1: Start by prepping your hair with Texture Wave. Spray into hair from roots to ends in 4-6 sections to create lots of texture in your mane.

Step 2: Gather up your hair (not too neatly) and place your braid wherever you like. Not too tight, high on top, low at the nape or side swept if you like.

Step 3: Loosely fan out the braid on either side for a lived-in look and give it a final spray with Texture Wave to hold it all day.

The Product & Why I Love It:

If I'm creating a sleek look, Texture Wave holds my style together all day long. If I'm looking to create something sexy with tons of movement, it can support my iron work and teasing, leaving the hair flirty and textured for hours. When I'm on the go, I can throw it in my bag and reapply throughout the day. When I come in from the beach, it tames my locks for a casual dinner with no fuss. Totally versatile and one I can't live without!

The Topknot

Hair Stylist: Yuki Yasui

How To Get The Look:

Step 1: Start with dry hair. Use your natural wave or add wave with a styling iron (use Satin Design for heat protection prior). No need to make it perfect or panic if you miss a piece.

Step 2: Spray a light mist of Sheer Lacquer throughout the interior of your hair. Brush your hair accentuating the volume of the texture.

Step 3: Pull your hair into a ponytail on the top of your head. This will be where the top knot is centered, so place where you like it.

ProTip: For a more voluminous top knot, back comb the ends of your hair while it is in the ponytail.

Step 4: Twist your hair around the elastic and use hairpins to secure. With enough texture, you won't need many pins. For a more undone look, embrace the little pieces that fall out.

Step 5: When you are happy with the shape, use Sheer Lacquer to lock it in. Layer it a few times for maximum hold while holding the can at an arm's length distance. This will hold it in place without disrupting the "undone" look.

The Product & Why I Love It:

Sheer Lacquer is a Jack-of-all-trades hairspray. I use it to create beautiful, gorgeous hair. Shiny and buildable, it is great before and after hot tools. Use less to keep waves in movement or use more to create structure.
